Michael Czimback has been teaching and playing professionally for 22 years, sharing his passion for music and drumming. My mission is to teach drummers easily understood techniques and material that builds a strong foundation for endless creativity. In order to put out the best information available, I share knowledge I gained from my studies at The Drummers Collective, 2 years with Gary Chaffee, and continued studies with Chris Coleman, and Dave Elitch. I currently run my own drum studio, www.thedrumfort.com, where I not only share these simplified ways of learning musical vocabulary and rhythm, but I foster a community of support by creating opportunities for students to connect with the greater drumming community. I do this by offering playing classes with my band and hosting Todd Sucherman (Styx) for 5 sold out masterclasses. I play and write in my band Featherborn.com while also taking on freelance work with many top working acts in the area like Get The Led Out. My passion for my vintage drum collection also gave me the opportunity to play tributes to Neil Peart in 2020 and Phil Collins in 2022 at The Delaware Drum Show. In 2023, I was one of the featured artists presenting a Masterclass at The Delaware Drum Show and at Sweetwater in Ft. Wayne Indiana. In my class I covered my concepts on developing vocabulary titled the Rhythmic Evolution Library and Groove Alphabet. Evolution by definition is the gradual development of something, especially from a simple form to a more complex form. On my personal musical journey these concepts continue to grow and are endless. One thing I always try and remember is to have fun!
